Here is one I'm liking a lot at present from Kings of Leon

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HHhhcKxflMY

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JCZfJ5ai07U

I think his voice I find pretty odd, quite flat but it grows on you a lot like the whole sound of this band.

That sent a shiver up my spine that intro very nice matey.

Trying to find some nice songs myself ok Audioslave are one of my favourite bands really good songs and a good mix of out and out rock riffage and soulful melodies ... one of their finest

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy2ZUGc2mSs

Really good acoustic number up next from Pearl Jam ... bit of a blast from the past but still a great sound ... there is something about an open G tuned guitar but anyhow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smJmVFCx_y8

An old classic up next from The Who an all time classic ... it's a long intro but its a fair old tour d'force once it gets going.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2KRpRMSu4g

He might have been downloading kiddie porn for *cough* research *cough* but he bang out a tune ... more Who

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUbGLVvfB7Y

I'm always impressed with what one guitarist and one drummer is capable of of here's a top tune from Jack and Meg!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC16j0TlVfA

Another new band next formally the better half of System of a Down ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6BJ_RwqGCU
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBqsZKE0wuk

Bit of a Coldplay esk band next

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lL1rcRbGDw

A good fun song complete one hit wonders but this song it really top draw ... bang the volume up on the number.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJxZiVQaw5U

A song for us "northern boys" up next from The Music!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQvc4BMM2xM

This next song is the most listened to song on my iPod I've no idea why as I've never thought of myself of a Jam fan but this is a classic and Paul Weller at his finest!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3fDXsPE0Sc

If you can't get Statisfaction ("Pun intended") listening to rolling stones then there's something not right. Quite a political song next great lyrics ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PULwX3vJjFw

Probably my old time favourite song to finish ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEQ-OQwhofY

I hope liked this little repitoire i certianly enjoyed putting it together!

PS. Sorry for hyjacking the thread eme! :p

I actually like muse quite a bit,  but that bitch can surely wail like an old women at times on certain tracks.

Is a better live track imo :P (track from GH3 that got me listening to muse actually lol).  I agree with you dave about being one of the best live acts I've seen since Queen (liveaid ftw :P).  Definitely going to try and catch them in concert when they are doing London/wembly next I think.

I've seen muse live 3 times and they are ace :)

Wasn't going to bother contributing to this thread as my music taste is really really varied (I have over 15,000 songs on my pc plus a wall of cd's and around 250 vinyls :p) but I thought I'd just pick some from my ipods top 25 surely that can't lie!

Sorry in advance for epic spammage

Here goes, not in any particular order.....

The Cribs - I'm a realist
Good band from west yorkshire, saw them live 3 times in 2007 and they have got 3 albums which imo are all very good
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cw5jkBrsxk8

Kings of Leon - Use Somebody
Loved this band since their first album and this track is my favorite of the latest one
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JCZfJ5ai07U

Air - Alone in Kyoto
I'm a big fan of this band, think this tune is in the movie Lost in Translation too
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ4Pm0N8s78

The Stone Roses - Where the Angels Play
Probably the best band to come out of my home town of manchester! This is a B-side and a one of my personal favorites :)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7szkhv77rE

Aphex Twin - Alberto Balsalm

I listened to Aphex Twin and Squarepusher a lot when I was at uni doing my music technology degree and have been lucky to see them both live within the last year and a bit! nice chilled out tune this one
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Byhw44e_wJQ

MGMT - Kids
My favorite track off one of my favorite albums from 2008, saw them live last year supporting Radiohead and they were very good
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=bIEOZCcaXzE

Bob Dylan - Tangled up in Blue
My dad is a huge Dylan fan and I was brought up listening to him
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn3iybtxNZw

Chairlift - Bruises
Kind of surprised this made my top 25 but I've been listening to this album a lot recently, good new band from New York
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TLG9DheSh-c

Glasvegas - Its my own cheating heart that makes me cry
I saw this band live in 2007 and didn't really like them but since the album came out last year they have grown on me
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DkOoTnTKv1M

Aphex Twin - Vordhosbn
More Aphex probably my favorite electronic artist
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=RWVh1xrCpEY

Pink Floyd - High Hopes
Great tune by one of the greatest bands ever, I've linked the live version because its a bit better than the album version
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=m1KJKRG4ZoY

Marion - Sleep
The first band I ever saw live back in 1995! That makes me feel old
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=zBpOfU8MvfI&feature=related

Ian Brown - Dolphins were Monkeys
I met Ian Brown once when I was doing work experience in a music shop, he was buying the digital recorder he used to record his first album! A true legend
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rGG4bAXJzFs

Guns n' Roses - It's so Easy
Probably the best Rock band of all time
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=jFp0xCdsq_U

Squarepusher - Beep Street
Saw this guy live last year and he was amazing
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8yA8MRphI8w

Bad Company - Planet Dust
I think this track was played at every drum & bass rave I went to from the age of 18 to 21 and still gets played now :) (takes a while to kick in)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gymNhQR7_-E

Scott Matthews - Elusive
Nice acoustic track although its scary how much the guy sounds like Jeff Buckley
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NAcP-HT_wM0

Mansun - I Can Only Disappoint U
One of the most underrated bands of the mid 90's brit pop era!
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Pgri7y-IsVw

Brian Eno - Always Returning
The undisputed king of ambient music I  love most of Eno's stuff
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z9Wdd8UBZUI

Noisia - Block Control
Just pure filth from probably the best electronic producers around at the moment reminds me of dancing round like a tit in big abandoned warehouses (usually with catflap/leon :D)
(takes a litte while to kick in again)
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0bovUM-X664

well since ppl started talking about muse think i should say  that they are the only good band that wasted they time coming to romania in like the last 4-5 years  . But man what a show it was !  i was actually surprised on the number o ppl coming from all parts of the country to attend the concert . Even with all the advertisement they got and ppl that  liked their style of music coming no matter what , we still didnt fill not even half a football field .
90% of romanians still think that if u listen to rock music or any of its  "branches" means u are  worshiping the devil
